Postal Service (Servicio de Correos)

Dealing with Correos (the Spanish postal service) is a traditional Spanish sport.  One of the worse nightmares that you can suffer in Spain is having to go to Correos.  Ask your family and friends to use UPS or FedEx if they need to send you anything.

If you have to go: Here you can find the nearest office to your address (in English).

You can reach the customer service on this phone number 902 197 197.

Palacio de Correos

How many guiris have asked me "who lives in that building"? All of them were surprised hearing that it's the main post office (Correos) in Madrid. And soon it will become the seat of the Ayuntamiento de Madrid (the city town hall).

Palacio de Comunicaciones (also known as Palacio de Correos), located in Plaza de la Cibeles, was built in 1904-17 by Antonio Palacios.  It combines elements of North American monumental style of that period along with Renaissance and Neo-Gothic touches

Beautiful, isn´t it?
