Palacio de Correos

How many guiris have asked me "who lives in that building"? All of them were surprised hearing that it's the main post office (Correos) in Madrid. And soon it will become the seat of the Ayuntamiento de Madrid (the city town hall).

Palacio de Comunicaciones (also known as Palacio de Correos), located in Plaza de la Cibeles, was built in 1904-17 by Antonio Palacios.  It combines elements of North American monumental style of that period along with Renaissance and Neo-Gothic touches

Beautiful, isn´t it?
